1 – Odours Matter
Odours that will likely turn buyers off your home:
– Pets
– Mildew / Dampness / Garbage
– Gym equipment
A nice diffuser will do the trick!
2 – Spring Cleaning: Filth & Clutter, Begone!
Spring cleaning is a big undertaking (especially if you’ve missed the last few years) but it yields great results when putting your home on the market!
But don’t worry! The Spruce has a list of 6 Spring Cleaning Checklists depending on what kind of cleaner you are, we encourage you to check them out!
Some areas you may forget about:
– Powerwash the exterior including the garage, patio, and pathways.
– Deep clean your appliances (eliminate any odour, clean out food residue, etc).
– Check your grout and regrout if needed, especially in the bathrooms.
3 – Staging Matters
When staging your home, keep potential buyers in mind. Part of that is removing anything personal that will remind a buyer that someone lives in it now.
If you need help, hire a REALTOR® or our team that offers home staging services!
