ABOUT THE MS SOCIETY
The MS Society provides services to people with multiple sclerosis and their families and funds research to find the cause and cure for this disease. We have a membership of over 7,000 and are the only national voluntary organization in Canada that supports both MS research and services. Since our founding in 1948, the core support of the MS Society has been from tens of thousands of dedicated individuals, companies, and foundations in communities across Canada. The Society receives almost no funding from government.

Having a variety of effective treatment and care options for symptom management, wellness, and self-care will help people on their unique MS journey.

Remove physical and social barriers within communities will ensure access to opportunities and supports for people affected by MS.

Understanding the complexities of MS progression will stop MS in its tracks.
Prevent MS
Stopping MS before it starts will reduce the number of people who develop the disease

Discoveries are made throughout the MS community. We will accelerate discoveries by investing in research, building capacity, and facilitating knowledge exchange.
Foster innovation
Innovation leads to creative solutions for problems facing people affected by MS. We will foster innovation by catalyzing conversations and encouraging the adoption of new ideas.
Take collective action
Collective action will result in positive change for people affected by MS. We will draw upon the expertise and experience of the MS community, work with local and international communities, build partnerships, and inspire and mobilize people to take action and create greater awareness of the disease.
